I absolutely agree with you John.
Because of weight-gender variations, it is best to use a BAC Calculator and work it out for yourself, what type and number of drinks over what time frame would put you over 08.
On your second issue, anyone can run with the concept of Pedestrian 08, so if you dont trust this site, no worries, run with it yourself.
At the end of the day, it is one policy line that should be included along with a raft of others, by anyone working this area, who actually wants to clean up the problems of alcohol related violence, binge drinking and pedestrian deaths and injuries.
Most people I've met today, during a pamphlet handout, cannot coherantly explain what 'responsible drinking' is despite the untold millions spent on that phrase by Big Liquor and agencies friendly to them.
With the Pedestrian 08 Campaign you get a reasoned definition that can be communicated and understood immediately.

>Drinkers need to have an accurate idea of how many drinks can safely be consumed under a zero point eight limit.

Should I be trusting someone who can't tell the difference between .8 and .08 to be in charge of demanding new laws?
